The first series of The Croods animated comedy fantasy/adventure film produced by DreamWorks Animation was released in 2013 and it became a big hit.
The first installment of the Croods series was set up in a fictional prehistoric Pliocene era which is also known as “The Croodaceous.” Eventually with the arrival of a prehistoric genius who comes up with revolutionary new ideas will be seen as a threat to caveman’s position as a ‘Leader of the Hunt’. The group would then trek through a dangerous but exotic land in search of their new home after the Croods survive through a natural disaster.

The DreamWorks Animation will be inviting on an all-new adventure back in time with The Croods 2 in 2020. In the 2nd installment of the Film, The Croods would face their biggest threat since leaving their cave. Joel Crawford is the director of the movie and is produced by Mark Swift.
This animated movie was directed by Kirk DeMicco & Chris Sanders and the producers being Kristine Nelson & Jane Hartwell. The first installment of The Croods series was released in March 2013 in the US and was distributed by 20th Century Fox. Moreover, the film was permitted at the 63rd Berlin International film festival.

The Croods 2 release Date
At the end of 2016, the DreamWorks production house had announced that the sequel for the movie was canceled. However, in September 2017, of was later revealed by DreamWorks and Universal that the movie was back in productions and the release date was postponed to December 2020.

Currently, the second part of the animated comedy Croods film is currently under productions by DreamWorks and it is scheduled for its release by December 2020. Still, there is no update about the release of the trailer which many people across the globe are eagerly waiting for.

The original plot of The Croods
In case if you have not watched the first part of the movie then let me give you some brief description of the story which revolves around a cave family (Croods) that survives a natural disaster.
As the story goes forward Eep (teenaged daughter of Grug) encounters a modern human boy named Guy and his pet sloth belt.
The Guy warns Eep of an impending apocalypse that was going to happen but she refused to leave her family and returns to her cave. One day a massive earthquake destroys their home and the cave family descends into a tropical forest that lay hidden behind their cave all the time.
Eventually, Eep calls the guy using the horn and the family would be rescued from the birds with his fire. The Guy suggests the Croods go to a mountain where there are caves as the family desires a cave.
As the family makes their adventurous journey with the Guy leading the way they will encounter various troubles and challenges and finally they settle in a vast beach, where every day they can follow the light of “Tomorrow.”
