Onward is an upcoming American animated fantasy film produced by Pixar Animated Studios in Association with Walt Disney pictures. The movie is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae and is scheduled to be released in 2020.
Recently, on May 31, 2019, Pixar released the teaser trailer of its most anticipated upcoming movie, “Onward” that tells the story of two error brothers who go on a quest to help bring back their dead Dad back to life for 24 hours.
Moreover, Disney also revealed the synopsis for its upcoming two Pixar films (Onward & Soul) during the D23 Expo event that was arranged last Saturday.
Both these movies from Pixar will be released in 2020 and Soul film will be released just months later Onward. Speaking about the storyline of Soul, it’s about a Man’s Soul which accidentally leaves earth and then returns to a place called ‘You Seminar’- a place where all souls are given their personalities. This movie is directed by Kemp Powers and Mike Jones is the writer.

The upcoming Animated-fantasy film “Onward” released its first teaser trailer, a couple of months ago and it has received more than 6 million views on YouTube until now. This is the movie from the creators of Toystory and Incredibles.
In the teaser, we could see a whole new magical world that has been populated with varieties of mystical creatures like elves, centaurs, trolls, sprites, fauns, mermaids, satyrs, gnomes, goblins and many more. In this fictional world where fairytale was once a reality, it is now losing its sense of magic.
In the changing world wherein its inhabitants use machines like cars and mobile phones instead of magic. Moreover, the story revolves around the two teenage elf brothers named Ian and Barley Lightfoot goes on a quest in bringing back their dead Father to life for a day so that they could spend the time with him.
On Ian’s 16th birthday, his Mom reveals that the elf brother’s father has left behind a gift that was only supposed to be given to his sons after Ian turns 16 years old. Moreover, the brothers surprisingly discover that the present which is wrapped with a special crystal turns out to be a wizard staff having instructions for a “visitation” spell that will bring their father Bach for just 24 hours. Barley, who has a passion for magic tries to make the spell work but he fails in doing so. But then, his brother Ian accidentally activates the wizard’s staff but he only gets halfway through performing the spell before he’s distracted and the magical crystal in the staff breaks. However, this leads to bringing back his father’s feet and legs back to life and the rest of the movie the elf brothers work on their quest, as they try to rediscover the magic in a world that has forgotten it’s a wonder.
