Illyssa Green is an American Businesswoman and homemaker best known as the Spouse of Tim Green. He is a former football player who played at the defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons of National Football League. Tim is also a radio and television personality, and the best selling author.
In November 2018 the retired football player announced that he was diagnosed with ALS. During this difficult time, it was his wife Illyssa who encouraged him and stood with him.
Ms. Green initially met her then-boyfriend, Tim while she was studying in college. The duo met each other through a mutual friend during the college and before their college graduation, Tim took the first step in asking the phone number and eventually the pair started dating. The loving pair were in a relationship for a long time before they finally got married in 1989 in a private wedding ceremony.
The couple blessed with five children including three sons named Troy, Thane, Ty and two daughters named Tate and Tessa. However, when everything was going fine in Illyssa’s life her husband was eventually diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), which is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the patient’s nerve cells.
The Businesswoman stood by her husband during the hard times and was involved in raising the funds for research via the Tackle ALS group. The group has a tagline “Don’t be sorry, Let’s beat this.” Furthermore, this retired NFL footballer also written a book titled “A Man and His Mother: An Adopted Son’s Search” that speaks about his research and the conclusion.
Recently, in November 2018, Illyssa’s Husband shared a post on his Facebook about his slow-progressing form of ALS disease and there were discussions of his life and fight with the disease that took place on “60 minutes” show.
Illyssa was born on February 13, 1964, in Liverpool, New York, USA. Her real birth name is Illyssa Wolkoff and is currently 55-years-old. The Businesswoman did not reveal much about her personal life and never mentioned the names of her parents and siblings.
As of education, she has completed her high school from a private school in Liverpool and later attended Syracuse University and completed her graduation degree.
