Jacob Elordi is dropped from Kissing Booth 2? Know the Facts

Kissing Booth 2 dropped on Netflix, another major surprise was dropped as the sequel is set to become a trilogy come 2021.

last weekend, Netflix just announced that a third Kissing Booth movie is officially in the works and will be available to stream come 2021. The news dropped Sunday during Netflix’s #TKBFanFest live stream, as well as on Netflix’s official Instagram account, which posted a sneak peek of the third installment.

The film is reportedly in post-production, and will premiere on Netflix in 2021 as the entire cast, including Joey King, Joel Courtney, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Molly Ringwald, and Jacob Elordi are all set to return.

In the film, Elle finds herself in the center of a love triangle while Noah is away at college, as we are introduced to the school’s new heartthrob Marco, played by Taylor Zakhar Perez. But many were pretty impressed about the fact that Netflix dropped a teaser for the third movie when many haven’t even had the chance to watch the second.

Joey King, who executive produced the second film, had a different take on the third movie, as she opened up about the cast’s excitement in returning, saying QUOTE, “From the first movie to the second movie just coming out just on Friday, I mean the explosion of love has been so real. It’s because of everyone here that all of this has happened.”

However, fans were left wondering whether or not Jacob Elordi would even reprise his role in the second film last year after so many people thought he appeared to look “miserable” in the film’s teaser.

Furthermore, Jacob has also revealed some concerning comments regarding his role and how “exhausting” it was to play a high school student as a 23-year-old. While talking to GQ Australia about reprising his role in the second film last year, Jacob revealed “Nothing against that, but I’ve sort of done it, and it would be really hard for me to find joy in that. I’m also getting older now, and I’m starting to look older, so to keep going back to high school is kind of tax.”

Although Jacob will still be reprising his role, fans have their eye on Taylor Zakhar Perez, who plays Marco. Many are speculating that there could be more to Joey and Taylor’s onscreen relationship after spotting them getting cozy in a few recent social media posts.

In one post, Joey shared a sweet photo of her and Taylor, saying that she got tested for coronavirus just so that they could hug. Later, many sweet photos from his time filming The Kissing Booth 2, like this series of photos of he and Joey posted just yesterday with the caption, “This was one of my all-time favorite moments shooting KB2.
