Arya Banerjee was 33 years old Bollywood Actress and best known for her role in the 2011 film “The Dirty Picture.” On December 11th Arya was found dead at her residence in Kolkata.
According to the police report, on Friday they broke open the apartment door on the third floor at the south Kolkata residence, her maid called the police after Arya didn’t respond to the call on December 12, 2020.
Since her death news was confirmed by the authorities many fans, friends, and family members tributed her on social media.
Arya Banerjee Shot To Fame From The Movie The Dirty Picture.
Arya started her career as a Model and moved from West Bengal to Mumbai to pursue modeling as a career.
She rose to fame after her appearance in the film “The Dirty Picture,” where she played the role of adult star Shakeela. Besides this, Arya appeared in the film such as Love Sex Aur Dhoka and Savdhaan India (2012).
Arya Banerjee Earned Masters Degree In Classical Music.
Before trying her luck in the Modelling and Entertainment Industry, Arya earned a master’s degree in classical music.
Then attended a three-month acting course at Anupam Kher’s acting school.

Viral Bhayani who is an Indian photographer and content creator wrote on Instagram “Bengali actress Arya Banerjee who acted in several Bollywood films such as critically acclaimed ‘The Dirty Picture’ were found dead at her south Kolkata residence on Friday, police said. The police broke open the door of her third-floor apartment and found that the body of the 33-year-old woman was lying in the bedroom.”
Later, he added “Her domestic help got suspicious as she did not respond to doorbells and phone calls in the morning and informed the neighbors who called the police. Arya lived alone and kept to herself mostly, the domestic help said.”
Arya Banerjee Was 33 Years Old During Her Time Of Death.
She was born in 1987 and grew up in Kolkata, her real name was Devdutta Banerjee. Arya was 33 years old before she was found dead in her apartment.
The actress was born to Sitarist Nikhil Bandhopadhyay (Dead) and there is very little information about her mother and siblings.
On December 11, 2020, Arya didn’t respond to any call and even her maid knocked on her door but there was no response as well, then the maid called the police and they eventually broke the door and entered the apartment and found Arya was covered in blood.
The Police have not revealed the exact cause of her death but waiting for an autopsy report.
