Betty Barasa was working as a KBC journalist and Editor, on April 7th she was shot dead at her home in Nairobi, Kenya, according to the report three armed men entered her house where two of whom equipped with AK47 rifles.
Barasa reached the house after her work but was held at the gate by the three gunmen, then they led her to the house and held Betty and her family hostage at her house. From the source, one gunman kept Betty upstairs and others remained with her family members to keep an eye.
According to the family members, they heard two gunshots coming from the upstairs, then the gunmen took her phone and laptop and left the house. Betty Barasa moved to her new house recently but this unfortunate incident shocked her three kids and Husband.
Who is Betty Barasa?
Betty Barasa is a senior Journalist and video editor at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). She is married to Geoffrey Barasa Namachanja and blessed with 3 children.
One of her students commented stating “Am trying to convince myself that it’s not true……hii imenigonga differently. This lady here was not only my lecturer but also a mentor. So friendly and understanding.
