His real name was Earl Simmons, he was born on Dec. 18, 1970, in Mount Vernon, N.Y. Growing up he had a miserable boyhood in Yonkers, he battled bronchial asthma, and head injuries after being hit by a drunk driver, and frequently he was being suffered physical abuse, injuries at the hands of his mother and her boyfriend at the age of 6. Simmons’s dad Joe Barker, who got departed as soon as he was born and cut off all the ties with him.
