During the Bitcoin conference at Miami in 2021, Jack Dorsey was joined by the chief strategy officer of the Human Rights Foundation and an advocate for the sovereign potential of Bitcoin “Alex Gladstein”. When Gladstein asked a question to Dorsey about how the Bitcoin of the open-source model could inspire a censorship-free social media platform for which Dorsey responded “By creating a new [social media] platform … inspired entirely by Bitcoin, we want to do the same thing for Twitter.” When Laura interrupted him, Dorsey told, “I know you don’t believe me, I know you’re calling me ‘liar.’ I’m going to prove it to you.”
