Matteo Berrettini is an Italian professional tennis player, in 2021 he became the first Italian tennis player to reach the Wimbledon finals. Furthermore, in the Madrid Open Matteo reached his first Masters 1000 final and was defeated by Alexander Zverev. In the 2021 French Open, he reached the quarterfinal and lost to Novak Djokovic in 4 sets. On June 20th, 2021, Matteo won the Queen’s Club Championships title and became the first Italian to win this title. Matteo reached the second straight Grand Slam quarterfinal in the 2021 Wimbledon Championships and reached the Wimbledon semifinal by defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime, then reached the Grand Slam final after beating Hubert Hurkacz.
