Avi Roque is a Voice Artist and on their website, they describe as “Avi Roque is a Latinx/Trans/Nonbinary/Queer artist and uses the Pronouns They/Them/Theirs.” Avi grew up in San Francisco, CA and since a very young age Avi was into painting, drawing cartoons, and coloring, then they enrolled in art classes where they found an opportunity in acting, while studying in High School Avi participated in theatre, in 2007 Avi graduated from Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory with Diploma and then they earned a BA in theater from California State University. Also, I’m still nervous & scared, mostly nervous & scared but I feel the euphoria will begin to arise come Tuesday.” Later, on June 21st Avi shared their picture after upper body surgery and wrote “reveal//in the men’s locker room//post @werqfitness class & post sauna & steam room//still learning to be with this body, find comfort in this body//unearth my confidence//but in gendered spaces it’s still really hard//so I’m out here truly trying to be unbothered & find pride in these beautiful scars//grateful a million times over to dr. Alison shore,” and added, “my dad who helped w/ $$$ & my mom who took care of me.”
